. Puppies are learning to have a working relationship with humans. What manding teaches is that human presence means sit, not jump. At this stage it doesn’t matter what the puppies are doing. You are teaching that a soft, sweet YES equals a food reward. It’s classical conditioning, or puppy sign language. Did you know: A calm puppy is learned behavior? Not climbing on people is too.
